Begin again…

When you left me in the forest, bleeding and alone, you didn’t look back. You were too busy adjusting your reality to accommodate the lies you told.

I bled, but I wasn’t alone.

When you ran me over to make sure I was dead, you didn’t look back. You were too busy racing into the sunset with your latest concubine.

I hurt, but I didn’t die.

When you tried everything you could to destroy me, you didn’t look back. You were too busy cradling your hatred and weaponizing your affection.

So you didn’t see that I began again.
